Chalet Gemini
- Free-standing chalet
- Large outside terrace
- 5 bedrooms
- Sleeps 10
Zermatt luxury catered and self-catered Chalet Gemini is one of our four unique and for Zermatt very rare, residences (our Chalets Castor, Pollux and Ibron being the other three): a luxurious free standing three storey chalet with 5 double bedrooms.
Its location provides the best of both worlds: spectacular views and easy access. 200m from the Matterhorn Express base lift station and resort run, there is a street level tunnel which leads you to a lift (elevator) built inside the mountain, from the top of which there is a gentle 2 minute walk to the property and an exterior stairway. The chalet comes with an electro wagon and stair lift which our staff will use to move your luggage and shopping as required.
Awarded 8/10 by the 2017-18 Telegraph Chalet Review of the best chalets in Switzerland.
This luxurious free standing ski chalet has 5 double bedrooms, large enough for families or groups of up to ten. Four bedrooms can be configured as twins, and all have en suite bathrooms and Smart TVs. There is also a private sauna and wellness area and an outdoor jacuzzi on the large private terrace.

Tucked against a beautiful hillside, the numerous balconies and large terraces give you bird’s eye views of the village and the surrounding mountains, encompassing all three of Zermatt’s ski areas. This is an ideal location being close to the main lift station, the ski runs and the village centre. Chalet Gemini is immediately opposite Chalet Castor which sleeps 8.
The tunnel and elevator bring you up high above the village providing a true sense of high mountain seclusion and tranquility with breathtaking views. Although it does not have a direct Matterhorn view, the chalet is bathed in sun as soon as it emerges.
Guests can leave theirs skis and boots in the tunnel’s ski-room. The entrance to the tunnel is 200 metres from the end of the ski runs beneath the Matterhorn Express lift station, just a 4 minute walk from the church square.
On the ground floor the chalet features an entrance hallway that opens onto a living room with a wood fire, Smart TV, open plan dining area with separate kitchen, a guest toilette and laundry/utility room.
We have tastefully decorated the chalet, delicately combining an alpine, cosy and contemporary finish, with liberal use of wood and stone.
It has all the latest technology with Smart TVs, a fireplace and geothermal heating to reduce the chalet’s carbon foot-print as much as possible.
The chalet has its own sauna and unique outdoor hot-tub surrounded by snow (depending on snow conditions) – perfect to relax and enjoy the view (or the stars…) after a long day in the mountains.
Zermatt luxury catered ski chalet Gemini is a rare gem; a large freestanding chalet which Mountain Exposure has conceived to meet your needs and wishes to the fullest possible extent.

Chalet Gemini is opposite Chalet Castor (sleeps 8) and next to Chalet Pollux as well as our other luxury freestanding chalet, Chalet Ibron, which sleeps a further 8 people. All these chalets may be rented together (Les Perles) enabling a group of up 16,18, 24, 26 or 34 guests to stay in the same location while benefiting from the space and privacy that only a sole-occupancy luxury chalet can provide.
