Skiing conditions are exceptional in Zermatt. Both resorts were perfectly positioned to receive the brunt of the recent depression from the gulf of Genoa – it snowed continuously for 5 days above 2,500 metres. Across Zermatt and Cervinia there are 20 lifts and 26 runs open. Snow conditions in all three areas are beautiful and powdery. The image below is taken from the Gornergrat webcam:
