The season has ended on a glorious note, with a cumulated snowfall of 575cm since last November, of which 136cm fell in the month of April. Zermatt always has significant amounts of snow late in the season, which is something seriously worth taking into account for next year, when Easter falls on April 20th. Your are guaranteed that all lifts and all pistes will be open at least until then! The current snow depth is 176cm at Gornergrat, and 370cm on the summer ski area, which has already opened. We have skiied more powder this last season than we can remember…

It snowed 25cm of fluffy light powder on January 11th, which was refreshed by another fall today. The snow depths are at record levels for this time of year. The Stockhorn – Triftji freeride area has already opened, earlier than ever before, and two heli skiing drops are also functioning much sooner than usual. Snow quality is grippy powder and the cold temperatures are preserving it perfectly. It's a season not to be missed!
